Horses have always been a passion of mine. I have owned horses since the age of 15. My poor husband, Rick, didn't know a thing about them until 1985 when we met and has been shaking his head since. He always says he doesn't know a thing about them but don't let him fool you He can spot a nice horse and act like he doesn't have a idea what it is. Rick is also one of the handiest people I know and can build or fix anything. He keeps saying that once he gets everything built he is going fishing and hunting. It still hasn't happened.

My children Shawn and Jessie, are growing up way too fast. It seems like yesterday Jessie trying to drag one of the foals into the house because she wanted to shampoo their hair in the bathroom, oh, that was yesterday. The day before that it was dressing one up in my clothes- UUGGHH . I wouldn't change her for the world. She has now ventured into the world of showing and decided that jumping is the best thing since Ice Cream. She still keeps a pocket of treats so watch your horses or she will have them following her. Jessie new thing for 2008 is driving. Poor Spooky. But they got a Top Ten in jumping and costume last year so hopefully they will be blessed again this year. And I was tickled pink to get both kids in a picture together (below) and not fighting.

Shawn is our super competer. He is the 2007 Junior Ambassor for the AMHR Nationals.  Besides showing horses, he is super active in any sport he can be in. He was in football, wrestling, track-running and pole vaulting and now umpiring for baseball. In his spare time he is running a few marathons. He tires me out thinking about it. Shawn's new adventure for 2008 is to spend the summer with Larry Parnell and learn as much as possible. I am sure we will have a hard time getting him to come home after Nationals.

We started raising miniatures in 1994 with a mare and a colt. We have slowly added some quality horses with incredible bloodlines and every year seems to bring us to new levels.  You will hear me say " this is the best crop of foals yet" And it is. We are excited to see what the future holds and hope we can help you to feel the excitement also.
